Mapula Lodge is a mid-range Botswana safari lodge situated in the northern part of the Okavango Delta, an area ideal for both land and waterborne activities. The shallow channels and floodplains invite tranquil mokoro trips in the clear Delta waters, while the larger islands are home to a wide variety of game, viewed from the vantage of open 4x4 game drive vehicles.

Mapula Lodge consists of 10 luxurious chalets on raised decks, each with an en suite bathroom, an outside shower and a private balcony. Traditional design and use of local materials provide unique details in these luxurious surroundings.  The traditional design and use of natural log creates a unique large central lounge with open balcony encompassing a small library, open-air bar and curio shop. There is also a swimming pool for you to enjoy and to cool off on a hot day.

Given its location Mapula is able to offer superb game drives in 4x4 open vehicles, as well as mokoro [cont.]

excursions with a trained guide / poler. Night drives are also available and upon request, walking safaris can be arranged.

Mapula offers very good value for money, with the only negative being that the area the lodge is sited in is cut off from the main Delta by a porous game management fence.  This does not impinge on activities here though, so we often include Mapula for those looking for good value for money.
